PTDC Welcomes World Chefs Vice President for Strategic Discussion on Culinary and Tourism Development

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) had the honor of welcoming Dr. Rick Stephen, Vice President of World Chefs (World Association of Chefs’ Societies), at its Head Office for a productive meeting aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s hospitality and culinary sectors.

Dr. Rick Stephen, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Shafiq, CEO of COTHM Global and President of the Chefs Association of Pakistan, and Madam Mel Nathan from the Executive Chefs Club Australia, met with Mr. Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana, Managing Director of PTDC. The meeting focused on collaboration in areas such as capacity building, knowledge sharing, and adoption of global best practices, particularly for the development of young and aspiring chefs in Pakistan.

During the session, MD PTDC presented Pakistan’s tourism and culinary potential, highlighting opportunities to promote Pakistani cuisine and position the country as an emerging gastronomy tourism destination. Both sides expressed strong interest in continued cooperation to support sustainable growth in the hospitality, culinary, and tourism sectors.








NTCB

Tourism is a focused area of the present government. Several initiatives are being undertaken to garner the potential offered by the tourism industry.
