COTHM and PTDC Host National Seminar on Innovation in Aviation and Tourism Economy

Islamabad — The College of Tourism & Hotel Management (COTHM Global), in collaboration with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), successfully organized a national-level seminar titled “Innovation for Aviation & Tourism Economy in Pakistan” at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Islamabad. The event brought together leading professionals, policymakers, academicians, industry experts, and students from the aviation, tourism, hospitality, and education sectors for an insightful exchange of ideas and forward-looking strategies.

The seminar served as a vital platform to emphasize the importance of innovation, aviation development, and tourism-led economic growth in enhancing Pakistan’s global travel and connectivity potential. Participants discussed emerging trends, modernization initiatives, and collaborative opportunities to position Pakistan more competitively within the global aviation and tourism ecosystem.

A wide range of aviation experts, tourism professionals, academicians, and students actively participated in the sessions, sharing perspectives on technology-driven solutions, capacity building, and sustainable growth models for the sector. The discussions highlighted the need for stronger linkages between academia and industry to nurture skilled human resources and foster innovation.

The event also featured an impressive student airport model exhibition presented by COTHM students, showcasing their creativity, research capabilities, and technical understanding of international airport operations and management.

Tourism is a focused area of the present government. Several initiatives are being undertaken to garner the potential offered by the tourism industry.
