The Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival was inaugurated at Lok Virsa, Islamabad, marking a vibrant three-day celebration from 10th to 12th October 2025. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, alongside the Parliamentary Secretary for Culture and Tourism and numerous national dignitaries. PTDC Managing Director, Mr. Aftab ur Rehman Rana, and Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, National Coordinator on Tourism, participated in the opening event and highlighted Balochistan’s immense tourism potential. MD PTDC delivered a keynote outlining strategic initiatives to develop tourism infrastructure, promote cultural heritage, and enhance visitor experiences across the province. The festival showcased traditional crafts, folk music, local arts, and indigenous culinary experiences, highlighting the cultural richness of Balochistan. Various exhibitions, interactive sessions, and live cultural performances engaged both local communities and national audiences, emphasizing the economic and social significance of tourism. The event also provided a platform for networking between government agencies, private stakeholders, and cultural organizations, fostering future collaborations. The festival reflects PTDC’s commitment to promoting regional tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and integrating local communities into sustainable tourism initiatives. It successfully positioned Balochistan as a unique destination for cultural, adventure, and heritage tourism in Pakistan.
